Hearts-n-Crafts etc. is located in Covina, California. Their motto is "we teach, we supply, we give you ideas".
I was really impressed with the amount of classes offered over the weekend, allowing working women the opportunity to take classes on their days off. They offer a rolodex photo class, which is something I’d never seen offered before. They teach you how to take a rolodex and turn it into a scrapbooking work of art. Very ingenious indeed! They also offer a cat and dog lover’s mini book class. Again I was so impressed with the classes Hearts-n-Crafts etc offers.
Covina is 20 miles east of Los Angeles, making the photo opportunities unlimited. I love China Town in Los Angeles. The architecture is distinctive Chinese and makes for wonderful photos.
Switching countries completely, I also love Olvera Street. You will truly feel like you are in Mexico with the sights, the wonderful smells of Mexican cooking, and the wares being sold in the many stores along Olvera Street.
The San Gabriel Mission District offers a historical walk where you’ll visit Mission San Gabriel Arcangel, Plaza Park, City Hall, Arcade Shops, Old City Hall Site, Salcido Store, Historical Association Museum, Hayes House, the Old Jail, Mission Playhouse, Grapevine Room and the Old Grapevine. The opportunities for photos on this tour are amazing.
Of course being in Los Angeles, you are not far from any of the amusement parks, including Disney Land, Knotts Berry Farm and my favorite, Universal Studios.
Ask owners Marilyn and Kathleen, when you visit Hearts-n-Crafts etc, for additional ideas on where to visit and what to put into your scrapbook.
