Scrapbooking in Chino, California
Learn about a brand new store called Chino Scrapbook Company. They offer daily crops, classes and much more.
Many folks know Chino for their air museums, but Chino also has a brand new scrapbook store. Chino Scrapbook Company opened their doors June 12, 2006. The owners are Phyllis Freitas, Rhonda Remkus and Nora Martin. Phyllis and Rhonda have been scrapbooking for over 10 years and have wanted to open a store for a long time. Nora is Phyllis' sister and runs the business end of the business. Chino Scrapbook Company specializes in great customer service. They offer a service I’ve never seen offered before; they have open crop daily for $5. If you spend $10 in the store, the fee is waived. Check their website for classes offered.
While in Chino, you’ll want to visit Chino Hills State Park. There are both bike trails and horse trails. You can camp there, go for a hike, or share a picnic with family and friends.
If you enjoy airplanes, plan a visit to The Air Museum, Planes of Fame. The Air Museum displays aircraft spanning the history of manned flight, from a replica of the Chanute Hang Glider of 1896, through modern space flight, and includes numerous milestone achieving test and research flight vehicles.
The Yanks Air Museum is also located in Chino. The focus at Yanks is American Aviation, from Jennies to Jets.
A scrapbook of the photos taken at the two air museums could be a lot of fun to create. Ask the owners of Chino Scrapbook Company about patterned paper and stickers for your album.
