Memories For the Making, located in Lodi, California specializes in the hard to find item. In fact their website says they guarantee you’ll find things in their store that you’ve never seen before.

Memories For the Making offers a wide variety of classes throughout the month, including children’s classes, where the projects are specifically designed for children.

Memories For the Making chooses a scrapper of the month six times per year. They offer a $50 gift certificate to the lucky winner. Directions for entering are on their website.

While in Lodi, you’ll want to grab your camera and visit Micke Grove Regional Park. There are Japanese gardens, a picnic area, amusement rides for the kids and a five acre zoo. According to the zoo’s website, they are accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, and have native animals and exotic species from all over the world, including several endangered species, such as the Chinese Alligator, the Snow Leopard and the Cotton Top Tamarin.

There is also the San Joaquin County Historical Museum. The sunshine trail there recreates a trip across California from west to east. In the enclosed garden you’ll find native California plants and a waterfall.

Lodi Lake has over 200,000 visitors annually. There are picnic areas, swimming areas, boating opportunities and fishing. Those who visit Lodi Lake speak of being out in nature and being surrounded by nature.
