Apart from the presence of drugs, this test is also useful to detect the metabolites of drugs in urine. These kits come in various types and include inbuilt strips that can show the results, which has to be interpreted as per the instructions.
How Does a 10 Panel Drug Test Work?
As mentioned above, 10 panel drug test kits come in different types. Basically, 10 panel drug test includes a device with some strips. The strips in the device have to be dipped in the urine sample for a specified time and the results can be read after three to eight minutes. You have to read the instructions given by the manufacturer, in order to understand the working procedure of the kit. Firstly, before opening the kit, check its expiry date. The seal of the kit has to be opened just before the testing process. If the kit does not have a container for urine collection, use a clean container (preferably made of glass) and collect fresh urine. The next step is to remove the cover of the ten absorbent strips in the device. Make sure that you are not touching the strips. As soon as you expose the strips, dip it in the sample for around twenty to thirty seconds. Only the strips have to be immersed and not any other part of the device. You can read the results after three to eight minutes.
How to Read the Results?
The results can be interpreted as per the instructions. Most of the 10 panel drug test kits have strips, which have a control region and a test region. After the drug test, every control region must have a dark line, otherwise, the test will be invalidated. But, If there is a dark line in the test region of a strip, then the test for that drug is negative. If there is no dark line, then it is a positive result. The test region of all strips must have a dark line, for the 10 panel drug test to be negative. Read more on facts about passing drug test.
